Craft Burger Success Story: How Foodhub Streamlined Operations During Peak-Hour Chaos

At Foodhub, we love to see our partners thrive. We know that running a successful restaurant isn't just about great food; it's about managing the chaos, especially during those peak-hour rushes.

A packed Saturday night is the ultimate test for any restaurant. For our partners at Craft Burger, it meant their front-of-house team was stretched to the limit, trying to take orders, prepare desserts, and handle payments all at once.

They needed a solution to reduce the pressure on their staff and streamline the entire customer experience. We were thrilled to help them integrate the Foodhub for Business technology suite.

Solving the Bottleneck with Self-Service

The first challenge to tackle was the queue. We implemented our self-service kiosk, allowing customers to bypass the counter and place their orders directly.

The impact was immediate. Mohammed, the supervisor at Craft Burger, noted that many customers prefer the "pictorial menu" and immediately started using the kiosk. "During busy times... the majority of the customers were choosing this," he explained, "which was taking the workload off the front of house."

Beyond the kiosk, the Foodhub EPOS system provided a new level of control and efficiency for Mohammed and his team.

1. Simplified Cash-Ups

End-of-day reporting can be a time-consuming headache. Muhammad calls our "Order Summary" feature his favourite. The system "sums up everything during the day," breaking down all card and cash payments. His verdict? "Cash up hasn't been easier."

2. Stress-Free Group Orders

Groups wanting to pay separately often mean a headache for the kitchen. Our "Split Bill" feature, which Mohammed says they use the most, solves this. They can now enter a single order for the kitchen, making it "easy for the kitchen to handle" while still splitting the payment seamlessly for the customers.

3. Mastering Deliveries

Our system also helped Craft Burger manage its delivery flow. The EPOS features a built-in timer to track order durations and "automatically it sends a message to the customer that the order's on the way".

The Final Verdict
